How to Prime Canvas with Gesso (Lasts 1+ Year Stored)

The following is a beginners method, only intented for beginners or learners canvas. Use it under at your own risk.
Ingredients (500ml batch):
- 250ml white craft glue (PVA)
- 150ml water
- 100g calcium carbonate or baby powder
- 1 tsp acrylic medium (optional for flexibility)
Step-by-Step:
- Mix glue + water until smooth.
- Add powder gradually while stirring (no lumps).
- Strain through fine mesh.
- Store in airtight jar — lasts 12-18 months at room temp.
Pro tip: Apply 2-3 thin coats with a wide brush. Sand between layers for ultra-smooth finish.
